LETTER TO THE GODS
Tall sunflowers and corn field crops
In you I found love Paris mode
Yellow glasses and a plaid skirt
You sooth my heart after I cry
Calm my fears so I can only hear my call
Dancing and twirling
Less planning more feeling
Knock on my door
Pound on my vibes
Give me lightness
Give me light
Give me quiet
If not give me jazz
With not a word
Get me to morning rebirth
I close all of my eyes
I mean almost
I trust and trust
So I can fly on the back
Of all the birds
Feed my temples leaves and petals
As If spring was never late
Beam me with some sun as if
Winter didn’t exist
Allow me to smile
While all grown
As if my small hands
Picking kindness and candy
Had never changed
As if my life giver’s womb
I had never left
If I can’t see clear
In the dark woods
Full of spiky spirits
And mean bushes
I just know, I have to sit
Breath, Stop the hurt, let go of the burns
So I can hear you from within
Allow me to love
Not think hate
So I don’t become everything
I surround and pronounce
Fill my veins with peace
My mind with the evening’s calm caramel
So I become
The blue of the clouds
on my jeans
Allow me to go away
Without leaving
Just having to stand,
All still
Following the shiny rocks, divine weaves
And greatest wind
Keep me sane
In a bath of faith
I pray everywhere
So I can listen all the time
And freedom can get to me anytime
